The Ibsen Essay Prize The Ibsen Essay prize is awarded annually for the best paper read on Ibsen by a graduate student or independent scholar at the SASS conference (Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study). The prize is $1000, funded by the National Ibsen Committee of Norway and judged and administered by the Ibsen Society. The winning essays for 2009 are by Giuliano D'Amico of the University of Oslo, for his paper "Felix Bloch Erben and the Introduction of Ibsen in Europe" and Kyle Korynta of the University of Washington, for his paper "The Falk Villa."
